What Our Visitors Say

  • We’ve had a memorable holiday here in this comfortable cottage Great Weather, swimming, walks, eggs, drop scones. Thank you for good kitchen equipment and lovely bedding. Last time we visited was 30 years ago and we were delighted to be back!

  • This was a magical stay that exceeded all expectations. The views from the cottage and the garden across to the Isles of Eigg and Rum were forever changing in the light. It was amazing to wake up and wander out with a coffee and see snow on the distant Cuillins of Skye! The cottage had everything, cosiness, fast wi-fi, comfortable beds. Ruth was just at the farm down the road, and helped out when we were stuck an extra day because of ferry cancellations - lamb chops, a litre of milk, and even a bottle of wine! The island has no shop, though the green shed by the pier is open 24 hours and often has something. I cannot speak too highly of the Muck strawberry jam!. We were there when the tea shop/cafe was closed for the season, but it didn't worry us. The magic was in just one mile of road, no cars, and peace and quiet. We were truly sorry to leave this place, which was like no other.

  • It’s so wonderful to be back. The cottage is looking fantastic and we were so lucky with the weather. Many swims and much al fresco dining with the seals clearing their throats in the background.

  • First time back in 12 years! Lovely stay – 20 degree sunshine on the first day – glorious swim in the sea. Very windy other days but still good amount of sun (and some rain!). We all loved the views from the cottage and playing monopoly deal in the cosy kitchen. Took the younger generation to Shell beach, up the hill, round to the cliffs. Lots of fond memories. We’ll be back! PS Great scran in the café!
