THE TEAROOM

About

Wherever you find yourself on the Isle of Muck, you're never far from a warm welcome and a friendly chat at The Tearoom, nestled in the heart of Port Mor.

Whether you're grabbing a quick bite before setting off on your island adventure or settling in for a leisurely lunch, The Tearoom offers simple yet spectacular food in a relaxed setting. Enjoy fresh, locally sourced seafood, crisp salads, hearty soups, and deli-style sandwiches—including our famous fresh crab rolls. Or, take your time with a chilled glass of wine, soaking in the stunning views and spotting local wildlife from our outdoor seating area.

Housed in a historic Black House, our kitchen is the heart of The Tearoom, where everything is made, prepared, and baked on-site with care.

The Food

Each year, we refine our menu while staying true to our ethos—delivering unfussy but fantastic dishes that celebrate the best local ingredients.

Seafood lovers will be in their element, with fresh catches available most days. Our legendary crab rolls are a firm favourite, but don't miss out on our succulent langoustines and lobster when they're on offer.

We also take pride in using top-quality Scottish produce, from Arisaig smoked salmon and Stornoway black pudding to Mull cheddar, all featured in our hearty salads and deli sandwiches.

And then there's the cake—a cornerstone of The Tearoom experience. Every morning, we bake a tempting array of cakes, traybakes, and pastries, and they’re so popular they often sell out by the day’s end. If savoury treats are more your thing, our famous haggis sausage rolls are not to be missed. And, of course, there’s the freshly baked bread—straight from our oven every morning…mmm.

Come hungry, leave happy—The Tearoom is here to make your visit to Muck that little bit more delicious.

What Our Visitors Say

  • This tearoom is a little gem and a must if you are visiting Muck. Food so good we ate there every day. Thanks to Bruce and Pam for feeding us so well and making our holiday memorable........ Over and above the delicious cakes and fantastic fillings in their sandwiches Bruce delivered to our cottage the lobster and prawn seafood platter also can provide other meals on request. Attended the pizza night in the restaurant which was superb also. Restaurants in the mainland are overshadowed by the quality of food here. Loved the island, loved the tearoom and can’t wait to return !!

  • We have just come back from a wonderful holiday on Muck. Bruce and Pam were so welcoming and friendly. The food was so fresh and tasty. I had the Black and Blue which was a taste sensation I highly recommend. Pizza night was recommend to us and it didn't disappoint!! Fresh ingredients and great service seems to be the default standard here. The tea room really is the cherry on top, of this small Isle. If I could give 10 stars I would.

  • There are innumerable versions of sausage roll in this world and I have tasted a goodly proportion of them. Today’s was epic - the best I’ve had. Bruce is king, Long live the King. (His leek and tattie soup and cake were excellent too.) A wonderful friendly spot, idyllic!
