COMMUNITY HALL

The Community Hall is open 24/7 for everyone to respectfully enjoy. We ask visitors to make donations for using the facilities. The public toilets are in the Community Hall, along with a shower and a washing machine. There is also has a sports hall, with sports equipment and toddler toys in the side cupboards. Upstairs there is a library, heritage area, pool and foosball. The facility also has public wi-fi. Please note the kitchen is for community events, and not for day to day use. When the GP/ANP visits the island (Wednesday, fortnightly), the upstairs meeting room may be unavailable for a few hours.

The Isle of Muck Community Hall, completed in 2011, stands as a testament to the island's collaborative spirit and dedication to enhancing communal life. This impressive facility, constructed at a cost of £600,000, offers a games court, meeting room, and a versatile space for dances and wedding receptions. The entire island community, including children, actively participated in fundraising efforts and contributed to the physical construction by assisting in tasks such as digging the foundations.

The hall's development was spearheaded by the Isle of Muck Community Enterprise Limited, a company established in 1992 with every adult islander as a full voting member. This organisation undertakes major developments on the island, ensuring that projects like the community hall align with the residents' needs and aspirations.

Serving as a central hub, the community hall supports various activities, providing a venue for sports, meetings and celebrations.
