Port Mor House Guest House

portmor

Unfortunately Port Mor House isn't operating at the moment as it is currently vacant.

Port Mor House was built by islander Ewen MacEwen and offers 6 comfortable, spacious bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for up to 14 guests. We are open right throughout the year, except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

The house is situated a short distance from the pier at Port Mor, with an expansive view of the harbour and the mainland beyond and is just across the bay from the craft shop, tea room, Green Shed and community hall, but is only a ten minute walk from the beautiful beach at Gallanach

We have a large, comfortable sitting room with games and books available for guests to read, play and relax or watch the boats coming and going in the bay.

Breakfast and dinner is taken in the dining room, where tea and coffee making facilities are available day and night. We offer a three course evening meal on a "menu de jour" basis which we can adapt to guests individual dietary requirements. We use delicious fresh local produce from the sea, the island, our hens and vegetable garden wherever possible.

Guests are invited to use the garden to play croquet or just sit and relax.

Children are welcome and we have a family room, with a cot and high chair available.

Wifi is available throughout the guesthouse but, if needed, mobile reception is better at the end of the drive.

On your arrival we will meet you from the ferry and transport your luggage the short distance to Port Mor House and back on your departure.

For small groups or individuals, young and old or anywhere in between we are able to run craft workshops, making peg loom rugs, using island fleeces, fleece brooches or needle felt pictures. All materials are included and prices start from as little as £15 pp.
